We kind of stumbled into a stay at Wax Campground, and I’m glad we did. We had originally planned to camp at Mammoth Cave National Park but changed to Wax Campground at the last minute. We lucked out and got a campsite right on the lake.
It was a beautiful campground. I loved that we were right off the lake. We were able to walk our inflatable paddle boards from our campsite to the lake. We ended the day with a nice paddle. A lot of the sites were well-spaced and had a great view of the water.
