Grand Teton Mountains and their reflect on Jackson Lake

Colter Bay RV Park

We ended our big two-week trip out West with a three-night stay in Colter Bay RV Park. Up until this point in our trip, we had been mostly dry camping, so it was nice to have full hookups. The location was great! We were within walking distance of the Colter Lakeshore Trail, a general store, and a visitor’s center. We didn’t have cell signal at our campsite, but we were able to connect to wifi at the general store. There was also a restaurant/cafeteria within walking distance, but we ran out of time to check it out.

I enjoyed our stay at Colter Bay RV Park, but I would also be interested in checking out Colter Bay Campground, which is behind Colter Bay RV Park. The RV Park with full hookups was pretty hassle-free in terms in getting to our site (which was a pull-through) and it was really convenient to have full hookups after a week of dry camping, but it was a little pricey. Colter Bay Campground has a few sites with electric hookups, but most sites are basic with no hookups.

I should also note that there are no campfire rings and only propane fire pits are allowed at Colter Bay RV Park. This is a bit of a surprise to us, but fortunately, we travel with a small propane fire pit, so we were still able to sit around the fire in the evening.
