Apgar campground is located in Southwestern Glacier National Park. We camped in Apgar for the entire duration of our stay in Glacier (four nights) and we loved it! You can read more about our visit to Glacier National Park here: Glacier National Park – Miles of Yellow Lines.
The location was fantastic – within walking distance from the Apgar Visitor Center (where we could catch shuttles for GTTSR and connect to wifi), Apgar Village (with a few shops/restaurants/ice cream shops), and Lake McDonald. We also really appreciated the natural setting. This campground was neatly tucked into a forest of tall trees with most sites spaced apart nicely.
There were no hookups at the sites, so if you plan to camp at Apgar, be prepared for dry camping. We have a solar panel on the top of our trailer and received little charge throughout the day due to the shade from all the tall trees. Generator use is limited to set generator hours throughout the day.
