I’m so glad we got a site at Fruita Campground in Capitol Reef National Park! It was great to stay inside the park. The campground was right off the scenic drive road – just a short distance from several great hikes. We were also within walking distance of the Gifford House, which sells fantastic baked goods.
If you enjoy dry camping, I’d highly recommend a stay at Fruita Campground. The views were beautiful and the location within the park couldn’t be beat. It was really interesting to see the red rocky cliffs next to the green grass and orchards. There is also plenty of wildlife in and around the campground. We woke up early in the morning and saw several deer passing by our window.

We love that it frees up space in our truck bed.
